Cannabis is extremely effective for helping to promote wellness in your life. Below are just a few of the many, many, ways that Proof customers and patients report having received benefits from using cannabis to help them sleep sounder, perform better, recover faster, and get more out of their life.
Exercise and physical activity
Many athletes, including world class big wave surfer and Proof team member Nic Lamb,Sha use cannabis for performance and recovery. Says Nic, “I use Proof for so many things! I take the CBN to get a great night’s sleep before flying abroad for a competition. I use the 20:1 to recover from a major workout, and notice that I’m back in action much sooner. And I use the high THC to manage nerves prior to a big week of competition.”
Because much injury or illness is related to inflammation, CBD-heavy products like the 20:1 can work wonders for a faster recovery. And topically, the high THC body serum can relieve a sore joint or muscle.
Dosage: if using for recovery or inflammation, large doses of CBD in the 20:1 form. If using topically for aches and pains, the body serum or high THC tincture. If using for performance or anxiety relief, dose according to your experience and comfort.
Sensual Wellness
Using cannabis to promote sensual connectivity, emotional bonding, and pleasure, is extremely underrated! Dosage: we recommend consuming a comfortable level for you based on your tolerance and experience so that the cannabis adds to your enjoyment without distracting from the experience.
Sleep
Most of us suffer from problems with sleeping well, at least occasionally. Some have a problem falling asleep, and instead remain in bed, tossing and turning frustratingly. Others can’t stay asleep all night, even if they snooze off easily. And, for some, both can be problematic!
Here on the Proof team, one of the most common things we use our own products for is sleep. So much so that we made a product specifically to help with this: our CBN tincture. CBN is a cannabinoid that helps with falling asleep, and staying asleep! We combine our CBN with THC as well, as we find that combination results in the freshest and more restored feeling in the morning.
Dosage: depending on tolerance and preference, people use THC, CBD, and CBN, or a combination of all for sleeping well. We recommend starting with a half-dropperful of the CBN tincture.
Microdosing
Using Proof a little at a time, so that the intoxicating effects are minimized but the calming, focusing, energizing, or restoring effects are maximized, can be a powerful tool. Many of our customers ranging from high performing executives to seriously ill patients use Proof on a near-constant basis, sometimes at low or “micro” levels. This can take some experimentation to learn the best potency for your tolerance and application, but, once people find a level that works well for them, they report much better outcomes.
Dosage: we recommend starting at a low level relative to your normal consumption to find the sweet spot between desired effects and minimal “high”.
